For a moment Xiler pondered over whether to follow someone he had never met, into a strange airship, that could take him anywhere. He didn't trust anyone, ecept for himself. Should he leave this solitude even for a mere moment? It felt like the first time in ages that annother human had shown any emotion towards him, be it good or bad. He had grown so accoustomed to being alone and ignored.

He took in a deep breath.

"Fine. I'm coming, but i've no idea why."

The engines we're already whiring when the other man clambered into the gondola. The envelope was full and the Motorolly slowly lifted out of the hangar into the mid-day air. All in all adean thought it had been a rather successful day. He'd got what he came for and even made a new friend in the proccess.

The Motorolly was a peculiar ship in lots of ways. Firstly because it didnt look like it was able to fly. Eveything was very blatantly "home-made" the controls especialy. The acceleration lever was a a screwdriver in a metalic slot and many small old - tech instroments made up the other controls. Occasionaly the ship would give a tremendous shudder and Adean would dash around twiddling many a strange instrument in the blind hope that the ship might stay in the sky.
The second reason the ship was strange was because of its decoration - allover the aircrafts interior were large rocks with wonderful yet primative cave paintings on them. The prescence of these these rocks was probably the reason for the ships pragmatic flight.

Once he was happy with the cruising speed of the craft some 40 minutes later Adean turned to see the strange man sitting on one of his cave paintings. "Now then, this," he waved the plastic in front of Xiler's face, "Is what the ancients called a sime-card. It lets somehting talk to something else. I just happen to have two of them." He smiled his rediculous childish smile remeniscent of a young boy finding a new toy. "Let's go see what they do!" He paused for a moment, a puzzled expression creeping accross his face, "What did you say your name was?"

"I didn't, you didn't give me a chance!"

He took a deep breath, it was a while since anyone had shown any interest in him, or asked his name. He gazed around the ship with interest; it was one od the grandest things he'd ever seen.

Gingerly, he held his hand out, assuming it was the appropriate gesture.

"Xiler," he said quietly.

Adean stared at the outstretched hand for a moment before gingerly putting the sim-card in his back pocket and shaking Xilers hand warmly. "Adean."

There was another shudder and Adean spun around forgetting to let go of his new companion's hand. Xiler ended up sprawled on the floor as Adean struggled to pull The Motorolly out of the ensuing nose dive.

"So anyway," he bellowed ofver the rushing air, "how did you come accross such a rare piece of tech? Even I've never found one whole."

Xiler scowled, slowly pulling himself to an upright position. He considered for a moment what would be an appropriate response. He remained sitting on the floor of the ship.

"I move around a lot," he said carefully. "I don't like to be stuck in one place, so I suppose I have more oppurtunity to visit the obscure, dangerous areas." Xiler did not meet Adean's eyes once throughout the whole conversation. He didn't like to be too personal.

He scratched his head, pushing the floppy hair out of his eyes. He still felt wary of this man, and was still pissed with himself for getting on the craft in the first place, but there was no turning back now. At least he still had his trusty knife.

He turned back to Adean, still avoiding eye contact, "What's it to you anyway?"

"Oh It's nothing. I just thought I had the hunting ground fairly well searched. Even the one i have came in two pieces. Just interested."

The motorolly had pulled out it's dive and scooted south flying surprisingly close to the ground.

"Ancients communication is kinda an obsession of mine" Adean spoke - almost embarrased to admit it. He hated it when he got like htis - he was acting like a bloody kid again. Always when he thought he might have found an answer. He remembered the the number burnt into the palm of his left hand. But this was different - it was whole - it might just work.

Then there was this xiler kid he'd picked up. He didn't understand why he'd offered the thin man a place on board - perhaps he felt he owed it to him. Oh well - he was here now.

"Not much further" he grunted - regaining his usual stony composure. They were almost at his island - in the heart of the sea of khazak.

"You sound like my father," murmered Xiler. "Not much further to where?" he asked, quickly changing the subject. He didn't want to go back there again; he didn't want to remember that man and all the things he had done. Dealing with today was bad enough

The young man had no clue where he was; all he could see was the sea. He had not seen such a vast expanse of water in a long time, and it made him feel uneasy. Something didn't feel quite right. Last time he saw the sea was when ... No! he implored his brain, don't make me go back there!

Xiler tried his hardest to supress the agonizing memories that came to him as he gazed upon the sea. He thought he'd put this behind him. He'd hoped that maybe this year it would be alright; maybe he'd get through today without thinking of her, of them.

He bent forward, laying his head in his hands; trying to shield his expression from Adean. The waves of emotion were rippling over him, getting faster and faster, but he forced himself to contain it.
